Here are some highlights.
How would you rate the Mavericks’ Young jersey cheap core with teams like the Lakers, Timberwolves, 76ers, Nuggets and others that have committed to rebuilds?
Sefko: “Well, it’s not as sexy as, say Minnesota’s Young jersey cheap core. And there’s not the one anchor like Denver’s Jokic. But it’s a pretty solid group of Young jersey cheap, athletic players who all seem to care a lot. That’s important. But it would be nice to see them catch the eye of just one more free agent who qualifies as at least a B lister, if not an A lister. Hey, it’s just a major achievement that the Mavericks have finally bitten the bullet and found some Young jersey cheap 20 somethings that they believe have a legit shot.”
Given current construction of the roster, what are the Mavericks three top offseason priorities for 2017?
Sefko: “Point guard is No. 1. Whether it’s with Yogi or somebody else, you have to figure out a blueprint going forward. Depth on the front line will be critical and you can never have too many shooters, especially with a roller like Noel now in the fold.”
Do you think the Mavericks will stick with their small ball lineup with Barnes at the four after this season?
Sefko: “The way the league Chinese Wholesale Jerseys
is going, it sounds like it. Carlisle thinks it is Barnes’ best position, although it’s challenging in the rebounding and defensive departments. I do think with Noel eventually starting at center, Barnes would be fine as your four. But they need a bigger three than Wesley Matthews, in my opinion.”
Are the Mavs hoping they find another “Yogi” in Quinn Cook and/or Ben Bentil? Or are these guys simply bodies to fill out the roster?
Sefko: “That’s the hope. They also are emergency bodies for the next 10 days. But if they can play and give themselves a chance to stick, all the better.”
Salah Mejri and Devin Harris both have non guaranteed contracts for next season. Who is more likely to be a Maverick in 2017 18?
Sefko: “Actually, I think both of them have been told (or will be told) that their deals are guaranteed for next year. The Mavericks like and want both of them. And it would be very unlikely that Harris would want to opt out. Mejri might command more money on the open market, but my gut tells me both of them will be on the practice floor when training camp opens in a mere seven months.”
